Nestled on the island of Nantes, the new CHU will be located in a real university hospital district in the heart of the city. Built on a 10.1 hectare site, this hospital property complex covers nearly 225,000 m². Imagined and designed by the project management team ART & BUILD Architectes, PARGADE Architectes, ARTELIA and SIGNES, the Nantes University Hospital Center (CHU) project stands out for its commitment to medical excellence and innovation. The architecture of the University Hospital reflects this modern vision by integrating cutting-edge medical facilities and promoting collaboration between health professionals and researchers. The innovative aspect of the project also extends to environmental sustainability, with initiatives aimed at reducing the carbon footprint and promoting environmentally friendly practices. Thus, Nantes University Hospital is not only a medical center, but also embodies a modern and sustainable approach to healthcare delivery.
Responsible for the technical design of the glazed and opaque facades of 3 buildings (G, H and K), our work focuses on the study of block facades totaling 7,770 m². This intervention, in the execution phase, resulted in the production of :
